AMSC SVC Solution

The AMSC SVC (Static VAR Compensator) solution eliminates voltage sags and flicker, giving electric distribution companies and large electric users the most cost-effective way to connect large loads to circuits.   These Mobile Distribution Assets are highly portable, modular, and can be field-modified reducing the costs normally associated with upgrades.  We routinely solve problems caused by starting large motors, metal shredders and crushers, operating sawmills, pump or pipeline stations, shipyards, coal mines, feed plants or kindred processes.  We can also cure arc furnace flicker and stabilize transmission lines.

SVC Solution Attributes:
