Soldering and Splicing of 344 Superconductor Wire
This service note provides guidelines for handling and making electrical connections to 344 Superconductors. 344 Superconductors are comprised of an YBCO ceramic thick film applied to an oxide-buffered Ni-W alloy substrate and laminated on both sides with a copper foil. Proper handling will limit the possibility of damage to the superconductor during use.
